by Debora & Felipe last modified 2008-04-16 16:12

This is the new collaborative website of the CoastalZone Network.

The CoastalZone Network is a non-profit organization with the purposes of promoting:

  • connection of the various stakeholders related to the use and management of coastal zones.
  • debates on research and sustainable development of coastal zones through better planning and management plans.
  • share of experiences in management and discussion of common problems in the coastal zones.
  • international integration, collaboration and exchange of opinions on issues about coastal management - public participation - & - the use of geographic information and communication technologies.

This project is powered by Plone, kindly maintained by the JCU's e-Research Portal Team and supported by the James Cook University. The founders and early collaborators of this project came from various institutions, including the School of Tropical Environment Studies and Geography, the School of Marine Biology and Aquaculture at the James Cook University, and the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS).
